Parent Orientation and Involvement
Heritage Christian Academy desires active and substantial parental involvement in the education of their students. Several ways of participating are listed in the following activities:
• Parent orientation sessions prior to the
beginning of each semester
• All scheduled parent/teacher information
nights designed to better facilitate clear
communication between school and families
• All scheduled parent/teacher conferences
• Daily monitoring and assisting with
homework as assigned by the classroom
teachers
• Parental workdays to assist with facility and
playground maintenance
• School fund-raisers
Student Activities and Parties
There will be several occasions for extra activities and parties throughout the school year. Parents will be asked to furnish various items and help supervise the activities of the students. These activities may include special trips,
special guests visiting the students, and school music and drama presentations.
HCA does not offer an athletic program nor band at present.
School Calendar
The school calendar will be set at the beginning of each academic year. Any changes will be noted on the updated calendar. Scheduled events may be subject to change due to events beyond our control. We will inform you as soon as we are able of any changes.
