Why Heritage Christian Academy?

Our Approach
Philosophy of Christian Education
Heritage Christian Academy holds to this philosophy of Christian Education:
The goal of Christian education is the instilling of a Biblical worldview in which the Bible, the Word of God, is the guidance for a student’s relationship with God, how one relates to others and the development of character qualities that lead to students being productive citizens in society. A knowledge of Biblical principles is essential to the gaining of knowledge and wisdom. God is all knowing; therefore, no subject matter is void of His knowledge and wisdom. The foundation for any subject being taught is to honor God as the creator and sustainer of each course of study. We honor excellence in academic studies because doing so is an expression of worship unto God. Foundationally, as an educational institution, we believe in providing a spiritual atmosphere in which students have the opportunity to experience God the Father, Jesus the Son, and encounter a daily walk in relationship with the Holy Spirit. We further believe that parents or guardians are ultimately responsible for their child’s education, therefore, the staff of HCA view themselves as an extension of the desires of the parents/guardians for students to attend a school where academic excellence is valued and a Biblical worldview is taught.
